If you are looking for a hard-boiled crime series, you won't be disappointed with this one. Set in the not-too-distant future after the "Urban Wars", the series follows Detective Eve Dallas and a cast of characters as she solves some serious crime in New York City. The various plots have what you would expect: murder, sex, betrayal, etc., but have the added bonus of cool tech gadgets and an underlying theme of loyalty, friendship and love as Eve struggles to balance her career with her family life. The first in the series is "Naked in Death" with plenty of sequels to follow. By the way, J. D. Robb is a pseudonym for the very famous Nora Roberts.Karen
